Yury Muravitsky


Yury Muravitsky was born in 1978 in Moscow and in 2005 graduated from the Shchukin Theatre School. Since October 2014 he has been working at the Moscow School of New Cinema as a curator of the actors’ laboratory. Some of Muravitsky’s major works as a director at various theatres include: 2019 — “Do not be surprised when they come to set your home on fire” at the Russian Drama Theatre in Tallinn and Theatre Centre Vaba Lava, Narva, Estonia. 2018 — “Hanana”, Theatre «18+», Rostov-on-Don. 2017 — “Ich Sehe Dich”, “Ich Kenne Dich”, Generic Space, Berlin. 2017 — “Riot Days”, Pussy Riot Theatre. 2015 — “Coup”, Brusnikin`s workshop. 2013 — “Marvelous Adventures Of Yulya And Natasha”, Theatre «18+», Rostov-on-Don. 2013 — “Papapart”, “Mamanment”, “Memememurt”, Meyerhold Centre. Yury Muravitsky has been nominated for the production of “28 Days”, Teatr.doc, for the Golden Mask National Theatre Award 2020 in the category “Best Director”.
