Graduated from Russian Academy of Theatre Art (RATI) in 1968. Borodin has been artistic director of the Russian Academic Youth Theatre (RAMT) for 25 years; he is ‘national artist’ of Russia, laureate of the Russian State Prize, and twice Moscow Prize laureate for various productions. For many years he has been teaching at RATI and many of his students work in RAMT. Borodin has also worked abroad, in theatres in Berlin and Reykjavik. Among Borodin’s productions are: At Home by V.
