A well-known duet from Kostroma - Evgeniy Kulagin and Ivan Evstegneev, together with Gogol Centre actors, bring forth the quintessence of passion expressed with dance and inspired by hour-long Shakespearian sketches. No familiar plots to recognize: the creators of the show are more interested in movements which enhance famous lines. Actor Odin Biron performs the dance of the river where Ophelia drowned herself, Gertrude gives birth to an endless number of still-born babies before pushing out Prince of Denmark, and a Jedi sword is the instrument in the struggle for power in the fierce world of eternally fighting archetypes. The space created by stage designer Ksenia Peretrukhina is laconic and monochromically black: now it spits out and now it pulls in its characters, wrapping them at the end into festive golden foil, which promises nothing but silence in the future.
