A small and accurate show made up of songs by Yegor Letov performed by Alisa Khazanova; this combination reflects the very essence of what’s going on. Alisa Khazanova is a public figure, a popular actress. Yegor Letov is the main apostle of non-official Russian culture. Philosopher, poet, punk and pointy head who lived a short life with the slogan: “I will always be against”. The only place of action in the show by perfectionist Philipp Grigorian is a doll’shouse with the window overlooking the Kremlin; a porcelain girl lives in that house (Alisa Khazanova) with her teddy-bear, and she sings the less famous Letov’s songs in her awkward thin voice. A huge sarafan-dressed mouse accompanies on the piano, the clouds gather over the Kremlin. The plot, if needed, can be found in the music and in poetry; yet to hell with the plot when you have so much to admire.
